Tn walking horses are the objects of pictures, paintings, and drawings; sometimes a foal may be rendered.
The breed is composed from Narragansett Pacers, Thoroughbreds, Saddlebreds, American Standarbreds, Canadian Pacers and Morgans. Breeders worked toward the development of gait and workability. This animal can perform the foxtrot, rack, stepping pace and other gaits, to say nothing of his renowned ‘running pace’.
