Alaskan Polar Bear

According to alaskan polar bear conservation regulations, babies of this species cannot be hunted on. These large animals can live about 25 years. This species of bears is thought to be the largest one among the other species. Males are 8 to 11 feet long and weigh 500 to 1500 pounds. Females are smaller, they are 6 to 8 feet long and their weigh ranges from 330 to 550 pounds. According to alaskan polar bear conservation regulations, babies of this species cannot be hunted on.

These animals have an excellent protection against extremely cold weather. They have a 4- inch thick layer of fat and two layers of fur to keep them warm.
