Bathing guinea pigs is much easier than doing so for birds; a bird washes itself in a puddle of water.
When keeping these small rodents, do not forget to provide them with necessary care. Bathe them twice a year in a sink lined with a towel or rag. You can also use a hair dryer set to a warm setting. The sink should be half filled with lukewarm water. Use shampoo specially made for these animals, which is sold at pet stores. Brush long haired breeds regularly with a soft brush. It is also necessary to trim their nails every six weeks. Special diet is also important for these animals. These animals are mainly plant-eaters; however their diet should also contain some amount of protein.
