These rodents are easy to feed. They should be fed twice per day, in the morning and in the evening. Their diet should be supplied with all necessary vitamins and minerals, especially Vitamin C. Fresh dark vegetables are important sources of vitamin C. dark green lettuces, carrots, bell peppers, and other vegetables will not only provide the needed nutrients, but also provide your animal with the more diverse diet. Feeding your animal with pellets, buy only fresh one from stores that have a high turnover of food. Fresh pellets will have a slightly sweet, grassy smell and don’t feed your cavy with food that is damp or has a moldy smell.
