Hairless Guinea Pig
Hairless guinea pig breeders are known to take photos because they look so unique.
As their name suggests, cavies of this type have no or little hair. They are mainly found in the United States. The Skinny cavies’ hair is wiry and frizzy on their head, face and paws. They may also have some hair on the backs and rest of body too but generally look skinny. The Baldwin cavy doesn’t have hair at all. Their babies are sometimes born with hair but this usually falls off as they grow. All these animals are not long livers; in captivity they can live for about 8 years. As these animals are very communicative, it is recommended to buy at least two cavies, but of the same sex.

Hairless Guinea Pig -
breeders, photos
There is a strong rank separation between these animals and the males usually fight to be the first. The highest rank earns the right to go wherever and whenever they want. The animal of the lower rank defer to those of higher rank. Usually the two strongest females also don't get along and constantly fight. They should be separated as well as the males to avoid high stress level in the cage. The young animals squeal loudly until they are fed though they are not as gluttonous as the rabbits are.
