These animals originate from Africa and can be found in Cameroon and Nigeria. They occur in a small area of about 3000 square km in the Niger delta. The animal weighs about 1-2 kg; its diet consists of small mammals, birds, reptiles and insects.

These creatures are nocturnal; they spend the night in burrows, rock crevices or tree nranches. They hunt both solitary and in pairs.
