Ferret Information
Most ferret information can be obtained through a breeder farm or even a listing site for farms.
There are special captive breeding programs for the animals that are promoted by the government as the black-footed animals are on the verge of extinction. Thus there were found last representatives of the breed in 1985; there were bred about 240 adults and the 217 kits were allocated for reintroduction and field breeding programs.

The animal was originated first in Canada and in the USA in the Great Plains, Alberta and Saskatchewan to Texas and Arizona, in association with prairie dogs. During the first half of this century the animals have not been recorded since 1937. Most ferret information can be obtained through a breeder farm or even a listing site for farms.
