The Bullmastiffs are susceptible to a number of hereditary disorders, such as hip dysplasia and gastric torsion. However, there appeared new types of the breed with improved health. There are actually about 80 types within the breed.

An average life span for the breed is 8-10 years. These giants’ head is heavy, with short dark muzzle, and symmetrical built. Dogs of this breed are very powerful, massive and muscular; they make wonderful guardians and protectors.
